What can bullying mean?

Bullies don't always use physical violence against their victims, but that doesn't mean they don't cause serious harm and distress. You are a victim of bullying if someone regularly or persistently targets you in the following ways:

PHYSICAL - hitting, kicking, spitting, taking belongings

VERBAL - name calling, insulting, making offensive remarks

INDIRECT - spreading nasty stories about someone, excluding someone from social group and encouraging others to do the same, sending nasty emails or texts messages.

So if somone's behaviour is making you feel frightened, unhappy, vulnerable or anxious we want you to tell us. Only then can we put a stop to it and ensure the bully doesn't continue to target you or anyone else.

Never forget it's not your fault, no one deserves to be bullied. Get in touch here and tell us what's been going on.
